Opinion Essay - Learning a foreign language abroad

Atmospheric Learning of A Foreign Language
To express oneself everyone somehow has to communicate with other people, and the most effective way of communication is to speak.  At this point, apart from mother tongue, people are in need of learning a second language to communicate with foreigners.  As to my opinion, the best path leading to learning a foreign language passes through going to a country in which that language is natively spoken.

Firstly, the culture and the atmosphere of a society in which a language is spoken is one of the key factors.  Those who want to learn a second language have to get involved in that native-speaker atmosphere and live their lifestyle there.  Since the lexicon and the usage of language are only used correctly by the native speakers, learning a foreign language can only be achieved by this way.  By adapting yourself to the culture of the country in which you are learning a foreign language, you get into their thinking way.

To continue, while learning a foreign language in a country full of native speakers, you live their lifestyle.  In this way, you gain different points of views throughout learrning language.  Trying to get absorbed into their ways of thinking, you learn to look out this world through their eyes.  This experience makes your knowledge wider and makes your characteristic stronger.  You gradually begin to be more objective and understanding in addition to learning the language.  To illustrate, a man who knows two languages can think more emphathetically than a man who knows only one language.

On the contrary, it is widely argued that an artificial native-speaker atmosphere can be created.  In other words, by bringing native speakers and only speaking that foreign language in the class atmosphere, it is believed to reinforce the learning to some extend.  This belief is widely supported and lots of governmental measurements are taken into consideration for this issue.  However, how it can be effective ?  Can it be as effective as learning that language in its hometown ?  Surely, it cannot be that effective, because the learners will not be thinking in foreign language and they will maintain their own thinking way outside the classes.

To conclude, the learning of a foreign language can only be achieved completely on a native atmosphere.  You can learn a second language to some extend; notwithstanding, with your own way of thinking without understanding their sense of humour, usage of language and culture, how far can yo go in learning that language ?
