Animal In Science
Development of today’s world is
heavily relied on the advancements in the science. With respect to that, science requires
observations and experiments to improve itself.
At this point, scientists need some experimentation subjects on which
they can carry their experiments out.
From my point of view, the most suitable experiment subjects are animals
whose nature resemble to humankind’s most.
In order to justify my point of
view, for the sake of development and the benefit of humanbeing some creatures
have to be used. If we can live a long
life today as compared to the past and we can understand some psychological
dimensions of humankind, it only because of the experiments that are carried
out and succeeded on animals. In other
words, animals cannot think; so, they cannot help us to improve. However, they can help us go further in
science by being subject to our experiments.
This should not be thought as a torture to them, for experiments are not
done in a harsh way causing animals to suffer.
On the contrary, we should think in an optimistic way by assuming them
as the helpers of development of science.
To continue with, using animals as a
subject to experiments is more reasonable that using people themselves. Since these experiments can cause deadly
results, animals are more suitable to use.
Meanwhile, some experiments do not have bad results and volunteered
people are used for them. However, to
earn money people should not put their life into danger, and, they must be
aware of worth of life.
On
the other hand, people say that scientists carrying experiments on animals are
killing animals in the name of science.
People say all these things blindly.
They do not even know how an experiment is done on animals and they are
just trying to look like an environmentalist.
The underlying reason for this is the popularity. They abuse the social responsibility groups
like Greenpeace to become more popular.
Indeed, they are hiding their not-caring-face under their
environmentalist mask.
In short, animals can be used in the
development of science. While using
them, we are not sacrificing them. We
are just accepting their help. Seeing in
an optimistic way, everyone can easily differentiate the distinction between
sacrifice and help.
